people don't even know what "minority" means

On the drive home today he went on a rant about Obama.

Initially he was ranting about airports.
"Airports are just such a mess. You know why? It's just all minorities working there and they can't figure out how to do anything. I don't care if I sound prejudiced, it's just the truth." (Direct quote)

This transitioned nicely into the next rant.

"This country is a mess because we can't help ourselves, but we send aid to other countries. Get the troops out, let those losers kill each other. Stop sending help and money to other countries when natural disasters strike. We have people living under bridges here and it shouldn't be that way. And you know what? The only reason Obama is president and liked is because he is a minority.  But my favorite part is the fact that he isn't actually a minority. He has a white mother, WHO RAISED HIM, therefore he is WHITE. "

level of intelligent

phil had two gems on the way in to work this morning. the first one came as we were driving through an area where a "drug free school zone" sign was posted.

"it's funny, those signs are written in the wrong language. it's the puerto ricans that need to be able to read them." he then laughed and said "ya' know?"

the expression on my face was :-O

as we continued on our drive he began going off about a particular street in the area.
"Kling Street is the absolute worst. All of the 'losers' live there. the intelligent level there is just so low. losers."
